Something that I love most that a man has made or thought about is "Writing a Book". I wonder how this idea had popped up so many years ago; it amazes me every time.
The day we went to school the first time and we just had some letters, poems, or a few numbers in our newly released brain. We all were scared of that new and big place, we're not looking at the only young person in the room where we all sat. We're innocent and fresh. Didn't we all want to run away from that strange and haunting place? But, we didn't have any escape. We were compelled to sit there while thick tears trickled down from our eyes. And then we were asked to open our school bags and take our book out. Yes, our first book! I believe that a book is the best way to distract ourselves from the surrounding world. Maybe that's why a child is given a book so that he could forget his pain of separation from his parents for the first time in life.
Since the day we here came on Earth, we'd seen so many books. We're seeing so many of them on our way to work or shopping. Do you remember how many books you've read until the present day? I guess, no one does. Books are unique in their way. Though they share the category of being a non-living being however they are not the same to others. Books are not like a particular sport, a song, a festival, religion or anything that we people compare them with. They are the illustrations of someone's life in the form of printed letters, someone's intuition, fantasy or dream. They let our life connect to the lives of the characters in a book. Isn't it intriguing that we somehow feel for those with whom we never meet in real life? How can someone's pain bring a tear in our eyes? How can someone's misdeeds make us feel guilty if we'd done the same in our earlier life? No one asks us to do so but we all always do. It is because when we read a book, we're not only trying to decipher the letters; what we do is, create the images of characters about whom we read and we allow our brain and heart to act the roles of characters. It never matters how many books we read or what we read. The only thing that matters is if we're only reading it or are we listening to the giggles, moans, sobs and a lot more that is spoken by the author in the form of words.
Books are so selfless that they never complain when we forget the lessons that they try to teach us, they never reprimand when we disrespect them by leaving the lecture they give in the middle, they never pull our ears when we sneak in the random page to know the story way before the right time to come. Can we ever get such a friend who never expects, complains, or leaves us behind? I've not met someone so selfless as a book is. We all are very lucky to have innumerable of such friends around us. Explore the beauty of books!
