सुंदरता मन की या इस तन की

कहते है इस दुनिया के लोग की अंदर से सुंदर होना चाहिए मन, 
फिर बात क्यों करना पसंद नहीं करते जिसका गोरा नहीं होता तन|

बाहरी सुंदरता को सवारने में लगी हुई है ये दुनिया, 
इसको सुधारने में खर्च कर देती है अपनी मेहनत की गिन्नीया|  

लेकिन मन अंदर से हमे कभी नहीं बोलता,  
कि क्यों तू मेरी ओर  नहीं देखता|  

किसी को लुभाने, किसी को जलाने में लग रहे है हम सभी, 
क्यों नहीं सोचते काम नहीं आई ये सुंदरता आज तक किसी के भी|  

तन के सुंदर होने से कभी किसी ने सुख ना पाया, 
तभी तो गोरी राधा को सावरा कृष्ण था भाया|  

मन तो होना चाहिए एक ऐसा सच्चा दर्पण,
जिसको पाते ही हो जाए सब कुछ अर्पण|  

बहारी सुंदरता का होना है एक ना एक दिन तो अंत,  
क्यों ना मन को सज़ाकर करदे उसको सदा के लिए अनंत|  

किस बात का है बहारी सुंदरता तुझे इतना गुरूर,  
तू तो लोगो को बना देती है अंदर से कुरूर|  

एक बार तो पूछ कर देखो मन से कभी, 
खुश करने के लिए मैं क्या करूं|  

एक ही आवाज आएगी अंदर से तुम्हारे,  
कुछ ऐसा कर की सबको तू खुश कर सके|  

कहते है इस दुनिया के लोग की अंदर से सुंदर होना चाहिए मन, 
फिर बात क्यों करना पसंद नहीं करते जिसका गोरा नहीं होता तन|

Today I was just going through my old diary and I found this poem that I had written 4 years back. I thought that this impression of the lady that I sketched would add some life to the poem. I hope and believe that this poem would help some people realize how they sometimes try to change themselves just because they want to fit in the shell that gets remodel frequently. It is good to mutate according to the trend but changing yourself on the cost of losing the real YOU is not right. Hope you find this message helpful and take it as the one that requires our attention to put an end to the harassment that a lot of people around us are facing or have faced in their life.
